What better way to begin our new blog than with a post about a wonderful collective of artisans who create all natural toys, decor and clothing for kids and their families ?
Twig Studio is proud to be a member of the Natural Kids Team; a team comprising artisans from around the world who are dedicated to crafting heirloom quality items by hand. Here at Twig Studio we will be dedicating blog posts on a regular basis in order to showcase some of the amazing talent of our fellow members.
Knowing how busy we are at the Studio these days, we find ourselves wanting to explore the process of creating itself … and hopefully inspire some seasonal crafting while we are at it. We’d like to showcase some fun patterns and tutorials featured by our team members at Natural Kids that we know you won’t be able to resist.
For instance, who wouldn’t want to live inside one of these?
You can make your very own wee dwelling using this pdf pattern from fellow Canadian Natural Kids Team member, Beneath the Rowan Tree.
And for those with children eager to colour, who can resist this lovely birch branch pencil holder
Who doesn’t love to knit by the fire during those long cool fall evenings – we certainly do. We are loving these handspun yarns over at imogens garden. Whether for knitting baby scarves or using as doll’s hair, the delicious yarns in vibrant hues are all spun by hand on a lendrum wheel.
And just in time for harvest there is this fun kit for needlefelting pumpkins from
our friends at fairyfolk. If you have a pair ( or pairs) of little hands that are curious and want to explore while you are working – here is a lovely sorting bowl set complete with colorful felted acorns
We hope we have awoken some seasonal crafters ready to try some projects for fall and we’d love it if you can share your ideas, so please drop us a line.
Oh, and speaking of making we simply can’t help sharing this lovely photo of one of our large dollhouses in its final destination/natural habitat,
courtesy of Miranda Makes a blog since her series of photos of our large dollhouse make us smile, smile, smile. Thanks Miranda!
